Laurel or Yanny? The debate that split the internet (and our office) spread like wildfire within 24 hours. We’re having major flashbacks to the age-old black and blue or gold and white dress debacle. While we’re still trying to figure out what sound frequencies our bodies are able to hear, we’re still confident that #OTTisthenewblack.

Network executives and advertisers gathered in NYC last week for the Upfronts and talked about data-informed ad buying. So what does that mean for TV dollars? Advertisers are looking for reasons to continue spending big on TV, but they want the same audience data they’re seeing in digital. While there have been a few advances in the TV ad-tech space, we’ll have to keep you posted on what may come next.

Over the weekend, a victory for TV numbers proves we’re really not ready to say goodbye to TV just yet. The royal wedding took television by storm; streaming across over 15 different networks and hitting almost 30 million views in the U.S.
